2. Personal Data We Collect

To provide a personalised game experience and track your progress, we collect and store the following data categories:

• Account Details: First name, last name, and email address (securely managed and provided through our authentication partner, Clerk).
• Demographics: Date of birth and sex (used to personalise the game experience).
• Eye Comfort Answers: Which eye feels stronger and which feels weaker to you, as you tell us during setup. Some accounts created under an earlier version of the app also hold eye prescription values that the user entered at that time. You can ask us to delete these at any time.
• Game Progress Data: Game session scores, playtime duration (minutes played), brightness settings, and game progress percentages.
• Approximate Location (Country): When you are signed in, we work out your country from your IP address and store only the two-letter country code (for example, "IN"). We do not store your IP address. The lookup is done on our own server against an offline database, so your IP address is not sent to a third party for this purpose.
• Visit Times: When you use the site while signed in, we record the time of your visits and your last activity, to produce usage statistics.
• Payment Information: None. ZyncView is free to use, and we do not ask for or store credit card or other payment details.

3. Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing

We process your information under the following legal bases:

• Your Explicit Consent: By signing up, completing onboarding, and using the games, you consent to us storing and evaluating your game settings and session progress.
• Performance of Service: To calculate your progress charts, track play streaks, and link your account with a team and its coach (if you choose to enter a Team Code).
• Legitimate Interests: To monitor and optimize application performance, prevent abuse, provide user support, understand in which countries ZyncView is used, and analyze scores and play metrics to improve ZyncView’s game mechanics.

4. Data Sharing and Team Association

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your data is shared strictly under the following conditions:

• Your Team and Coach: If you explicitly enter a Team Code during onboarding, your profile and progress charts are shared with the coaches of that specific team so they can follow how much you play.
• Infrastructure Partners: We use industry-standard cloud and auth services (like AWS Lambda, Supabase, and Clerk) to host database tables and authenticate sessions securely.

5. Your GDPR Rights

Under the GDPR, you have full control over your personal data. You are entitled to exercise the following rights at any time:

• Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we store about you.
• Right to Rectification: You can update your details directly in your profile, or ask us to correct any inaccurate information.
• Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we permanently delete your account and all associated play history.
• Right to Portability: You can request a download of your play sessions and profile details.

6. Data Security and Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as your account remains active. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL/HTTPS) technology.

We use third-party analytics services to help us analyze how users interact with our website and games in order to improve our products and user experience:

• Umami Analytics: We use Umami Analytics to track general website visits, page views, and custom button clicks in a privacy-friendly, non-identifying manner.
• Microsoft Clarity: We improve our products and advertising by using Microsoft Clarity to see how you use our website. By using our site, you agree that we and Microsoft can collect and use this data (including session recordings, heatmaps, and click behaviors).
